How to improve health

Hi there!

This is a big topic again but let me start it somewhere. At least, I can give you my version of how to.

Don’t know why I just like making lists, maybe because my work habit or maybe it’s just easy to read. So hopefully you won’t be annoyed with the list. J

1.      Willing to improve health and stay healthy
2.      Make a list of good and bad habits; and increase the good, reduce the bad
3.      Have a good eating or diet habit
4.      Sleep well
5.      Exercise and workout regularly
6.      Find ways to be happier

That’s it. Sounds simple, right? I know, but it’s hard to do. Yes?

Let my thoughts fly…


1.      Willing to improve health and stay healthy

We are all willing to improve our health, at least the majority of us, agreed? It comes down to how much willingness we have. Are we willing to sacrifice some for it? If you want something bad enough, you have more chance to get it. So if you really want, tell yourself: I want, I will be healthier and I am willing to do what it takes to get there.

2.      List of good habits and bad habits
I don’t know everything but some example might help. This will include details for list item 3-5.
·         Go swimming in YMCA weekly
·         Take a 10 minutes’ walk after lunch
·         Work out in Garden or yard 30 minutes when it’s nice weather.
·         Jumping rope for 10 minutes a day or 200 round a day.
·         Drink green tea whenever possible
·         Drink less Soda, soft drinks.
·         Eat some fruit every day
·         Eat some vegetable two times a day
·         Sleep on time
·         Less time sitting and watch TV
·         Eating less pizza, sausage, hamburger…
·         Drink more water, just water when tea is not an option.

The list is not really organized in anyway, just to give you some idea, practical, easy and not expensive.

Bad habits?  We probably can list a lot.

·         Smoking (there is good side of that too, but you know)
·         Eating too much, too late before sleep
·         Eating too much sugar, starch rick food
·         Driving all time not enough physical activity
·         Play games or watch movie or doing something until too late at night
·         Look at some of the good habits, the opposite of that might be bad habits already


As to how to be happier, that’s a tough one, maybe we can come to that discuss later.
